Summer is here, and so is prime flea and tick season. Read below for some simple tips on how to keep your sweet pooch flea and tick-free during these warmer months.

1.  Take a look at your yard

If you live somewhere with outdoor spaces, be sure to keep your grass mowed and shrubs trimmed back, giving those pesky fleas and ticks fewer places to hide out.

2.  Prevention

Be sure to keep up-to-date with your pet's flea and tick prevention (be sure to talk with your veterinarian about the best one for your pup), and also keep a flea comb and a tick remover tool on hand just in case!

3.  Be sure to vacuum frequently

Fleas love carpeting and like to hide away from high traffic areas, so be sure to pay close attention to the baseboards, underneath your furniture, and any place where your pets like to sleep or spend time.
